How to add your signature to Apple Mail
Menus can shift between app versions, but the flow stays simple.
Open settings
On Mac, open Mail → Settings → Signatures.
Paste and test
Select an account, add a signature and paste it into the editor. Disable “Always match my default message font” if it changes your formatting.
Compatibility tips
Make it reliable, not just attractive
- Test both light and dark appearance on your Apple devices.
- iCloud does not always sync rich signatures between every device.
- Keep important information readable even if remote images are blocked.
Always send a test
The settings editor is not the final word. Send to another address, open the message on mobile and desktop, and confirm that images, links and spacing survive the trip.
